What Makes French Press?

    We know how to create powerful portraits—that part is easy ✓

    But we can’t do our part if you’re putting down or making fun of your own features *we’ve been there.

    We have one important rule that’s at the heart of everything we do:

    On session days, we leave the unhelpful self-talk at the studio door and hold each other accountable.

    Your existence alone is a wonder & worth documenting.

    We are here to remind you that you deserve the same kindness you’d show to your closest friend.

    We’re here to encourage you to meet your body with curiosity, neutrality, and grace. We can’t wait to introduce You to Yourself.

  • Natural... OR ELSE! We’ll smooth skin, fix bruises, makeup mishaps, and the like.

    We just won’t photoshop your body—no “tucking” or “pinching.” in any software. We also won’t photoshop tattoos - sorry, friend.

    Stretch marks, rolls, dimples, body hair, all of it is part of you. Our goal is to show you how hot you are, not create fake images.

    Want to be pampered? Our amazing hair & makeup artist is available for a glowing, dewy look or a sultry, smoky eye—just let us know!

    ✨ How to Prepare for Your HMUA ✨

  • Plan Your Day!

    This day is all about you. Start slow—grab a fancy coffee, enjoy a treat, or soak up some sunshine.

    If possible, keep work and stress off the schedule. Think of it as a mini vacation! For a few hours (or the whole day), give yourself permission to just be.

    Celebrate you—plan a fun dinner or a night out after your session. Make the whole day yours—you deserve it!

  • 24 Hours Before

    ☐ Prep your skin – Shower, exfoliate, shave (if that’s your thing), and moisturize head to toe, especially the night before. Wax? Do it a few days ahead to avoid irritation.

    ☐ Skip the spray tan or do it 1 week before your Session – Even “natural” tans can leave an orange tint that can’t be retouched 😬

    ☐ Pack your bag:

    2–3 outfits you love (we’ll help you choose!)

    Accessories, lip balm, lotion, shoes—anything you need!

    Snacks! Low blood sugar can cause even more anxiety so bring your faves

    ☐ Sleep & hydrate! Your skin (and future self) will thank you. We love a well-rested, hydrated babe. 💦✨

  • The Day Of

    ☐ Set the vibe – Get ready with the Official French Press Playlist! 🎶

    ☐ Wear loose clothing – Skip the bra & underwear to avoid lines

    ☐ Doing your own hair & makeup? Come ready to go!

    ☐ Booked our HMUA? Arrive with clean, dry hair (no product!) and moisturized skin—our artist will handle the rest.

    ☐ EAT! You’ll be moving a lot, and a good meal = better energy. Hydrate & fuel up! (If you get nervous, pack a protein snack!)

    ☐ Head to the studio & call us when you arrive – We’ll help with bags! Aim to be a few minutes early 🤩

  • After Your Session

    POV: You nailed it.

    You walked out of your session feeling on fire, knowing you just crushed it.

    ✗ You’re driving home, cheeks sore (face and maybe butt—your business), realizing you deserve everything that makes your heart happy.
